Dr. Chong Kok Fei (Desmond)

Financial Education Advisor

Desmond brings over 22 years of extensive experience in Sales and Marketing, both locally and internationally, along with more than a decade of senior leadership roles across PLCs, SMEs, and accounting firms.

He is a highly sought-after trainer, recognized as one of the leading speakers for financial planning seminars conducted in both English and Mandarin. Desmond currently contributes as a columnist for Property Insight and Entrepreneur Insight magazines.

In addition, he serves with Agensi Kaunseling dan Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK) and is an active committee member of the Malaysia Speakers Association. With a strong passion for financial education, he has delivered over 1,000 talks, interviews, and training sessions. His insights are also regularly featured in Money Compass and Nanyang Siang Pau.

Dinesh Virik

IT System Advisor

Dinesh is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Novagni Analytics and Advisory. His career commenced in finance and investments where he gained experience in capital raising exercises, private equity investments, and other corporate finance activities. He was involved in capital raising and corporate management assignments in Singapore, Australia and the US.

In 2014, he was part of a team that undertook a management buyout of Malaysia’s pioneer fund research business and co-founded Novagni. Dinesh oversees Novagni’s business development of its client and market growth, as well as the services and solutions required by the industry players.

Dinesh holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance from Australia’s RMIT University of Technology and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is also a CMSRL holder in Investment Advice.

Looi Ming Foo

Business Development Advisor

A proven leader with over 40 years of experience in insurance, financial advisory, and corporate management. Served for 11 years as the Executive Director and Principal Officer of a premier financial planning company, which he successfully developed into Malaysia’s largest firm by its number of licensed financial planners.

Prior to that, he built a 19-year career in the insurance industry, achieving success as a career insurance agent and later as an Executive Director responsible for corporate affairs and business development at an insurance brokerage. His early career was spent in corporate finance, serving as Group Financial Controller and Company Secretary.

Committed to industry advancement, he served two terms as Honorary Secretary for the Association of Financial Advisers Malaysia and has been a lecturer for the CFP® program since 2007.

KP Bose Dasan

Product Development Advisor

KP Bose Dasan has more than 40 years’ experience in taxation. He served in the Inland Revenue Department for 8 years and practiced as a tax manager with the accounting firm Hanafiah Raslan Mohamad. He had his own tax practice for 20 years and moved into tax training in the last 20 years. 

He has authored more than 100 articles on tax, financial planning and investment that have appeared in The Edge, Personal Money, Smart Investor and many other professional magazines, and in the social media. He is literally the first financial planning guru in Malaysia, training financial planners since 1997, ten years before the Financial Services Act 2007.

Syaiful Nazrin bin Mohd Rahim

Legal Advisor

Syaiful Nazrin is the Managing Partner of SSACO and an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with extensive expertise in corporate, securities, maritime, and criminal litigation. He began his career as a Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Attorney-General’s Chambers before serving at the Securities Commission Malaysia in both prosecution and regulatory roles.

With over 15 years of experience spanning prosecution, regulatory compliance, corporate advisory, and dispute resolution, he has been involved in landmark cases such as the prosecution of Transmile Bhd and the drafting of key regulatory frameworks including the Securities Commission’s Licensing Handbook, Business Trust Guidelines, and the Capital Market Compensation Fund rules.

Syaiful advises leading corporations, government-linked entities, and international maritime companies, and regularly speaks on securities, licensing, and compliance matters. He currently serves as Legal Advisor to several foundations and associations, and holds positions on regulatory and disciplinary boards, including Chairman of the Disciplinary Proceedings Committee of Association of Financial Adviser Malaysia (AFAM).

Alfred Sek

Founder and Mentor

Alfred Sek is the Founder & Principal Consultant of Excellentte Consultancy, bringing over 40 years of expertise in financial advisory and business mentorship. He is dedicated to helping clients design effective wealth management and protection strategies, while empowering professionals to build and grow thriving independent advisory practices under his guidance.

A Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from The American College and an Associate Member of the Australian Insurance Institute, Alfred has been at the forefront of Malaysia’s financial planning industry. He was instrumental in pioneering the development of financial planning in the country and is the Founding President of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Malaysia.

In recognition of his leadership and entrepreneurial excellence, Alfred was honored with the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award at the 2019 Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA).

Ravinder Singh

Product Development Advisor

Ravinder Singh is a seasoned reinsurer with over 30 years’ experience, having held senior roles in London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Singapore, and Malaysia. An actuary, Fellow of the Asia Insurance Institute, and Registered Financial Planner, he also brings a unique lens as an ACE-certified personal trainer and sports nutrition specialist.

He now leads bold efforts to close Malaysia’s protection and health gaps — as President of the Malaysia Towerrunning Association, founder of AQM Tech, and the force behind a social takaful initiative for organ and blood donors.

Driven by purpose, Ravinder believes “the only thing worse than failing is realising you never tried.” He continues climbing — in sport, society, and service.
